There is good reason why there is such a buzz about this movie. Brilliant on all accounts: emotive and engrossing story, cinematography, sound/music, concept – its a truly great film.
I particularly enjoyed earlier portions of the movie when the story centered in the actual slums. Having experienced such 3rd world squalor first hand livng in Tanzania for two years in the mid-90′s, I feel it important for Americans to get an unfiltered glimpse of what so many in this world endure on a day to day basis.
What a tale. Go see it.
Rob lives and works in the town of Jackson, MS where he leads the interactive department at an awesome advertising and branding agency. Life is slower than most places in Mississippi, and Rob tends to like it that way. Some of his favorite life experiences include sailing across the Atlantic Ocean in a 44ft sloop, learning to speak Swahili while living along the lower slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro, and zipping along the curviest of Mississippi country roads in his VW Rabbit.
