Last night the ad industry gathered at the newly renovated King Edward Hotel in downtown Jackson, MS. to celebrate our collective accomplishments over the past year and honor those who deserve special attention.
Mad Genius came away with either 8 or 10 Gold Addy awards – of special interest to me was the Gold Addy we received for best self promotion website for http://madg.com. That felt good.
Mad Genius also got lots of awards for our work with Farm Bureau Insurance – in particular the work we did for their NASCAR sponsorship website, farmbureauinsuranceracing.com (now offline).
The hi-lite of the evening however was the announcement of Mad Genius’ winning of the first ever Best In Show – Interactive award for our work on farmbureauinsuranceracing.com. It is the first Best In Show addy for Mad Genius in any category.
Rob lives and works in the town of Jackson, MS where he leads the interactive department at an awesome advertising and branding agency. Life is slower than most places in Mississippi, and Rob tends to like it that way. Some of his favorite life experiences include sailing across the Atlantic Ocean in a 44ft sloop, learning to speak Swahili while living along the lower slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro, and zipping along the curviest of Mississippi country roads in his VW Rabbit.
