I got an email from my dad this morning that amazed me. It was a link to the movie listed below. My dad’s emails usually fall into two categories: virulent anti-bush rhetoric, or scroll-tastic emails w/ some legal joke tucked away 4500px down in the message. Today however he sent me a link to a vid on vimeo and I clicked and I was amazed.
I used to dream of flying – still may (i remember very few of my dreams). I used to dream of being able to run and let go and glide away. Its one of the reasons I so love windsurfing – that feeling of weightlessness and a sense of zero effort speed and grace. Anyhoo – enough waxing poetic about dreams of flight. Here is the video.

I’m in the final couple weeks of development for Farm Bureau Insurance Racing’s NASCAR website which I’ve been working on dilligently for the past couple months.Things are getting a litte crazy here at MadGENIUS as they always do close to large project delivery time.
This isn’t the largest project I’ve led, but certainly the one that could garner the most notoriety. I’ve acted as web producer, ia, and am hand coding each and every page on this bad-boy. I’m getting graphics help from chris nolen and copywriting help from frank owen. I’m really excited to be working in the national sports arena with this project – its fun knowing my work is part of the marketing efforts for a NASCAR Sprint-Cup team.
Part of the project includes the development of a series of webisodes which our team shot in NC last week at Joe Gibbs Racing’s headquarters last week.
I was never a really big NASCAR fan – in fact I didn’t pay the sport too much attention. Moving to Mississippi a couple years back however inserted me into a hotbed of NASCAR enthusiasm. And now that I’m so intimately connected to the sport through our client, I’m getting really pumped up for the season and the once in a lifetime opportunity to gain an insider’s view of this exciting sport.
I knew there was a reason why I couldn’t honestly root for surpisingly successful Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington. He’s a J.E.T.S. JETS AGENT OF DESTRUCTION!
I give it to the Jets – planting this implosion device and pulling off the distracting move of hiring Favre for a year. Very sneaky indeed. Like some sort of sleeper-cell terrorist, Pennington unleashed his destruction today in Dolphins Stadium in front of the Phins faithful and the rest of the world.
Damn You NY JETS. Damn You Chad Pennington AGENT OF DESTRUCTION.
I’ve already spoken to my bosses about this – Looks like another guy from work may be attending also, as he’s taking on more and more of a Content Strategist role on larger Farm Bureau interactive projects. I’m really psyched to meet up with some of the top minds in my field.
