The University of Miami Hurricanes Men’s Basketball team faces Virginia Tech in must-win opening round of the ACC Tournament.

The Canes finished their season 18-11 overall yet 2 games under .500 in the perennially tough ACC Conference. They are one of a few ACC teams on the ‘bubble’ of the NCAA Men’s hoops tourney, the others being VaTech and Boston College, and Maryland.
A win this coming Thursday (3/12/09) afternoon will help provide the flash needed to gain the attention of the selection committee and possibly mean another trip to the NCAA tournament for coach Frank Heath and his Canes.
