I really enjoy a good display of information – its one of my secret pick-me-ups. Be it a New York Times chart in the Week In Review or Sunday Magazine. So it was especially cool for me when doing a little post-lunch-internet-clicking, I stumbled across, a website dedicated to baseball data in all shapes and sizes. Slice and dice to your heart’s content, and when you’ve found what you want, export to excel or similar spreadsheet program for charting goodness.

The graph below shows the Florida Marlins’ batting averages (non-pitchers only) ordered by most common batting order for all regular season games through May 5, 2009.
